3rd Year Computer Science (Advanced) Student. Hi, I’m Barry, and I’m honored to be the AUMS President for 2025! Never thought I’d be here, but I’m excited to make this year unforgettable. 🚀
Though I’m a Computer Science student, I’m a Maths enthusiast at heart! Outside academics, you’ll find me kicking a soccer ball, throwing frisbees, jamming on the guitar, gaming, or just touching grass (of course).
Whether it’s solving Jane Street puzzles, exploring AI research, or going head-to-head in FIFA, I’m always up for a challenge

3rd Year Mathematical Sciences Student. Hi hi!! I’m Nikita, currently in my final year studying maths and French! Very excited to be your vice president this year - looking forward to all the brilliant things we’ve got planned. I love a good yap, so catch me at events (or doing something cool like rock climbing or music!) and let’s have some fun.

2nd Year Mathematical Sciences (Advanced) Student. Hi, I'm Vaughan and I'm excited to be the AUMS Treasurer in 2025! I obviously like maths, but also numbers and problem solving in general - especially money and finance. I also enjoy playing the piano, reading, watching movies, and recently volunteering at uni. I've also started ballroom dancing, which is actually pretty fun!

2nd Year Mathematical Sciences (Advanced) Student. Hi, I'm Anders, and I love doing pure maths because abstract mathematical concepts are always clearly defined even when real life is messy and chaotic 😆. Anyway, looking forward to see you all at AUMS events where we can yap about various nerdy things (including maths hopefully).

1st Year Master of Philosophy Student. Hello! My name is Faith and I am a first year MPhil candidate with a research focus in mathematical biology. I love talking about maths, books, and adventures. This is my 3rd year on the committee in AUMS and I love it! The events are fun, the people are great, and it's a fabulous way to meet others interested in and doing the same classes that you are at university. I hope to see you at one of our fun events soon!

Honestly, I don’t know what to write for a bio—it’s tough to sum up who I am in a few sentences! I feel like face-to-face connections say so much more than words online ever could.
People usually have a bit of a misconception that maths people are all nerdy and not-so-cool. I think that's not so true. I find all AUMS people to be super cool! Sure, we’ve not very nerdy, although we can be a bit of that. But why not come to our events and meet all of us? You’ll see just how cool we really are.

2nd Year Science (Advanced) (Theoretical Physics) and Mathematical Sciences Student. I love theoretical physics and pure mathematics, but not keen whatsoever on statistics or experiments. If not doing maths or physics, usually found with my dogs, or thinking about monkeys, both are solid bets. I doubt I would be in the maths society had it not been for Khan Academy in year 10.

2nd Year Mathematical Sciences (Advanced) Student. Hi everyone! My name is Makon, and I’m super excited to be your Second-Year Representative for the Math Society this year! I’m currently in my second year studying a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Advanced).
I absolutely love math (no surprise there!), and I’m really into the more theoretical side of things. That said, I also really enjoy Data Science too!
